HELPFUL HINTS FOR FEEDING PRODOG RAW

Preparation

To defrost Prodog Raw easily leave it in a cool place overnight. Should you forget to take the product out in advance you can defrost in the microwave instead. It is important that you don’t allow the product to cook! If, at feeding time, the pet’s meal is still partially frozen, simply add some warm water and allow it to sit for 5 minutes.

Feeding

We recommend that you feed 2-3% of the dog’s ideal body weight, spread over two meals a day. You can easily calculate 2% by taking the dog’s ideal body weight (eg: 20kg), add a zero to this number (200) and feed this amount in grams per meal if feeding twice a day.

Usually, puppies should be fed to appetite from 4-6 weeks until around 3-4 months of age, when you should be feeding 5-6% of their body weight spread over four meals per day. From 6 months of age reduce this to 2 meals a day. As your dog matures, begin reducing the total daily amount to 2-3%, monitoring their weight carefully, so that you can adjust portions as necessary. Remember, every dog has a different metabolism and nutritional requirements, so feeding should be matched to his individual needs.
